



PXT101 - Basic Extrication Fundamentals Course PXT201 - Advanced Extrication Course, 1 Day Our most popular course, this 8 hour training session is emphasizes hands-on training with minimal time spent in the class room. After a brief introduction, students rotate through 4 practical work stations performing all necessary tasks on vehicles that are positioned on their side, and roof. Students are introduced and led through modern extrication practices using hydraulic and non-hydraulic rescue tools. PXT202 - Advanced Extrication Course, 2 Day Technician Level, Duration: 8 Hours Our Advanced Extrication 1 Day course with a second day of lifting scenarios added. Students will learn how to utilize air-lifting bags, hydraulic rescue tools, and mechanical jacks in order to lift vehicles to free entrapped patients. Vehicles lifting techniques will be addressed for upright, side, and roof-resting vehicles. Time and resources permitting, students finish the day putting it all together working simulated accident scenarios. PXT301 - Technical Extrication Course, 2 Day The 16 hour course requires prior completion of our advanced extrication training or training from a recognized training provider.

Operations & Awareness Level, Duration: 8 Hours
NOTE: (Pre-requisite for Advanced Extrication)
The Basic Vehicle Extrication course is geared towards people new to the fire and emergency services with no prior extrication training. The course is classroom oriented with a power-point discussion and video presentations. The afternoon session consists of an orientation to various tools and equipment such as hydraulic rescue tool systems, air-lifting bags, non-hydraulic powered and manual extrication equipment, and various stabilization equipment. Initial scene stabilization & extrication techniques are completed on cars on their wheels. Scene management (ICS) techniques are covered, and students are introduced to basic stabilization and extrication techniques. There is an emphasis on patient care, packaging and extricating.
Technician Level, Duration: 8 Hours

Technician Level, Duration: 16 Hours
Teams of students led by a student team leader will attack and mitigate complex and heavy extrication scenarios. This scenario based course is designed for advanced students and will challenge them with problems that are difficult to replicate at their home training facilities. Students can expect to see scenarios involving large mass transit vehicles, cable guard rail systems, vehicles on sloping terrain, vehicles into collapsed structures, collapsed freeway props, vehicles wrapped around poles, and machinery entrapment.
